Oakland is small, historic, and beautifully green — tucked along Lake Apopka right next to Winter Garden. That makes it one of the easiest areas for me to reach and one of the prettiest for nature-framed sessions.
Whether it's a maternity session at golden hour, a newborn at home, or the whole family together, Oakland's quiet pace suits the calm, real way I like to shoot.

Oakland's gem is the Oakland Nature Preserve — a boardwalk through cypress out toward Lake Apopka, with soft, filtered light that's beautiful for family and maternity portraits. Speer Park and the West Orange Trail add easy, green options. In-home newborn sessions are perfect in Oakland's quiet historic homes. Families in nearby Winter Garden and nearby Clermont are an easy drive.
